Sparkle SF was founded by Mia Rubie (@superflynails) in 2012 out of a serious passion for nail art and the desire to put San Francisco on the nail art map. Since the beginning, it’s been a fun place where nail art fantasies are brought to life. Our clients leave delighted with personalized, beautiful and long lasting artistic creations that are the talk of the town or their social circle. As a team of nail artists within a private “by appointment only” nail studio, we’re committed to high quality nails, the latest techniques, top tier nail art in an atmosphere that is creative, welcoming and pleasing to the eye. We use premium gel products from Japan, Korea and America including Kokoist, Apres and Zillabeau. It's been an amazing experience sharing something we love, seeing the joy it brings and having it spark creativity in another -- and in some cases even inspiring others to pursue their own dreams of professional nail artistry.

With a decade of experience in the nail industry, Laysa has built a reputation for creativity, precision, and trend-setting designs. Specializing in everything from classic gel manicures to intricate nail art, she combines technical skill with a deep passion for beauty and self-expression. Laysa is a published nail artist with an impressive career track record including working at the iconic Vanity Projects salon in Miami. Sarah S.
Sarah is a seasoned manicurist of 10 years. She realized her passion for specialized nail art 5 years ago and has been creating rad manicures ever since. Her style is edgy, fun and versatile. She can do everything from the nails you see trending on the internet to custom creations you might dream up in your head. With solid technical skills, high professionalism and a huge amount of creativity - she is an excellent nail artist. Sarah has worked at some of San Francisco’s best nail salons where she’s often requested for her unique nail art creations. Amelia I.
Amelia (aka Mia B.) is an up-and-coming nail artist born and raised right here in San Francisco! With 3 years of experience as a licensed manicurist and gel specialist, she gives meticulous manicures and draws nail design inspiration from the seasons, Bay Area culture, trying out new nail trends and themes. In 2023, she apprenticed at Sparkle SF and we loved her! Her warm personality, creative spirit and passion for nails make her a joy to work with. Jacky H.
Jacky may be relatively new in the nail world, but she is already proving to be a remarkable nail artist. After becoming licensed in 2024, she apprenticed with nail art guru and Sparkle SF alumni, Kristen aka @sfnoma. Not only is Jacky talented, she’s bright, level-headed and excited to dive into becoming one of the next top nail artists. Her nail art style is influenced by popular Asian nail trends, cyber sigilism and classic looks like French manicures. Mia R.
With 12 years of nailing San Francisco under her belt, Mia has created a destination for nail artists and nail art enthusiasts at Sparkle SF. While she has been unable to take on any new clients for quite some time, she is beyond excited to open the doors to new clients with the introduction of a team of 4 thoughtfully selected nail artists.
